Finally, it’s that time of year again—time for new dreams and goals with Dry January upon us. For countless people, the challenge of abstaining from drinking is part of this journey… but the consequences can be merciless on our skin.

It couldn’t be more true during the winter air that comes along with the lack of hydration due to not reaching for a beer or glass of wine.

Having dry skin or making it look dull can become a real predicament. You didn’t choose this path just to have your skin also suffer! There are easy ways to provide your skin with nurturing love during these trying times in order for it to stay healthy!

Sleep More

A good night’s sleep is essential to maintain your healthy skin and it becomes even more important when you decide to go sober during the entire month of January.

Alcohol messes with our regular sleeping patterns as it prevents us from getting to the deep stages of sleep, which are extremely necessary for letting your body do its stabilizing processes like cellular renewal and developing more collagen in the dermis layer.

That’s why a Dry January should be thought out as one with plenty of restful nights.

Adopt a consistent bedtime hour, don’t take any late night snacks or caffeine before laying down, and your beautiful complexion will appreciate it.

Eat Right

Making sure you focus on what you put into your body during Dry January is just as important as taking a break from alcohol!
